Being a real purple/violet/lilac/orchid fan, 2014 so far has been a blessing for me. Many lovely nail polishes from Spring and Summer releases quickly became my all time favourite. Laura Mercier's two nail polishes from their Summer Collection New Attitude are no exception.

If you like light baby blue on nails, Attitude is as light as it gets. It is almost a blue toned white cream, which will certainly look even better once I get my summer tan. It is hard to get cream whites right so I was expecting Attitude to be streaky and was very surprised to find out that it wasn't. The consistency was a little too thick for my liking but it applied good, was opaque and smooth after two coats. Promo images look like as if both of these shades have some shimmer but I found them to be plain cream on the nails. Below swatches are taken with two coats and without a top coat.

Reckless is my favourite among the two, as well as one of my favorite nail polishes from this summer. Unfortunately some of the nail polish released with the name of "lilac" or "orchid" turned out to be rather tones of pink. If you are looking for a real lilac, like me, Reckless fits the bill. I wore Reckless for a week and didn't get tired of it (which is an extremely rare situation!). The longevity was also great, as well as the consistency which is neither thick or thin and opaque in two coats.

Final thoughts: Two lovely nail polishes from Laura Mercier for this summer. Attitude will accentuate your sun kissed skin in summer while Reckless will speak to the true lilac lovers. Lovely formula, great staying power. These are now available around the globe.
