As excited as I am to write about the last one of the three new Suqqu Quads (#16 is reviewed here, #17 here), I would like to first talk about the new Suqqu blush, Momoshuiro.

Suqqu Balancing Cheeks #01 Momoshuiro

This one is an exciting moment for me because Momoshuiro is the first time I try a Suqqu Blush Duo. According to Suqqu, right side of it should be applied to give color and left side (the lighter part) to give dimension, like a highlighter.

Momoshuiro consists of a light peach shade (left) which has matte to satin finish and a mid-toned natural pink (right) which has a little more shimmer to its texture. This compact also has the softest compact brush I have seen so far, I suspect this made of squirrel but maybe not 100% grey squirrel like their cheek brush but a mixture of grey and blue squirrel. This is just a guess by considering the softness and the color of the hairs, but if you know more about this, please leave a comment below.

Below you can see the swatches of Momoshuiro, which are hard to see. Please note that my arm is darker than my face so sometimes what doesn't swatch good on the arm, performs better on my face. You can see that the left shade has a subtle brightening effect and right side has a refreshing not too blue based pink tone.

Swatch: Suqqu Balancing Cheeks #01 Momoshuiro

You have already seen me wearing this on both of the eye shadow quad FOTDs (here and here) which I applied using Suqqu Cheek blush. Sometimes light pinks turn chalky on me but this one doesn't. By combining the softness of this brush and the colors, the effect on the cheeks is also soft and fresh but it is hard to capture this with camera which usually washes out colors).

Final thoughts: If you like soft brightening fresh cheeks for Spring and your complexion is light to medium than Momoshuiro might be blush you are looking for.

Do you like your blush soft or densely pigmented?
